The Paul and Jean Harris Home Foundation warmly welcomes visitors in the Chicago area!

The Paul and Jean Harris Home invites you to visit Comely Bank when you are in the Chicago area. The interior of the home has been restored to how it was when Paul and Jean hosted Rotarians visiting from around the world in the 1930s and 1940s. Experience the feeling of being in the same place where Paul Harris and his friends planned the world-wide growth of the Rotary movement. Paul and Jean loved their Home, nested on a wooded hilltop in the Beverly/Morgan Park area of Chicago. In this Home, they watched as Rotary expanded from one Club in Chicago with four members to over 5,600 Clubs in 75 countries, with more than 259,000 members by 1947, when Paul Harris passed away.

The restoration work at Comely Bank is ongoing. The next phase is the restoration of the International Peace Garden, or Friendship Garden, that welcomed so many visitors. Please consider a donation to the Paul and Jean Harris Home as a way to preserve the unique history of this Rotary landmark and to help finish the project.
